What do you get when you mate a female beagle with a male pug? A puggle! A puggle is a considered a designer hybrid dog that is unfortunately not recognized by the AKC. Oh well, they’re still super cute and the best breed of dogs to have if you’re a city dweller looking for a compact companion with lots of personality.

Most puggles are fawn colored (like me) but can come in a variety of colors, range in the amount of pug-like wrinkles, can have long floppy ears or short triangular ears, typically weigh anywhere between 18-30 pounds, and curled tail. Puggles are unique because not only can we bark (though I rarely do), qu are also known for our unique bark-howl. For the most part I’m a very quiet dog, but if I miss my mommy I’ll sometimes do a bark-howl to let her know I’m missing her.
